There are several ways to stop applications that autostart at startup. You can configure the application itself if you know what applications are automatically started at startup or you can do the general registry hack and startup folder clean up. Remember to be extra careful when hacking the registry since small mistakes here could lead to great repercussions.
For Vista: Use Method A or B
For XP: Use Method B or C and D
For Win2000: Use Method C and D

If you are too happy and want to get bored, listen to this album. Honestly, I was not able to listen to the whole album the first time I played it. I fell asleep on track two.

I think the Feed Headlines is the nicest among the gadgets that Microsoft provides for the Vista Sidebar. The Sidebar is like Mac’s Dashboard where you can add widgets (gadgets) or mini applications that provides easy access to relevant information and common tasks.
The Feed Headlines is an RSS client that is integrated with the RSS feeds from your Internet Explorer. To subscribe to a feed, click the
icon like the one shown on my footer or you can look at the
icon beside home on the upper right corner of your IE7 browser. This turns to orange
when an rss feed is available otherwise, it’s grey
. This would redirect you to the page which shows the top feeds where you can subscribe by clicking the “subscribe to this” link at the left side of your browser. The “Subscribe to this feed” window would then appear which allows you to specify a name for the feed and what category you want it to belong to.

Behind the caverns of old
Beneath the shadows of gloom
Dwelling upon the nonexistent
Building my own Doom
For that simulation
I thirst for more
Like a ravenous vampire
I plunge and soar
Stop this cerebral delusion
Conclude my journey
I lay static
Warped back to reality
My cage of lies
I thought I was free
My own Elysian field
Zero gravity

Before you listen to this album, be sure to place the speakers of your stereo farther apart than usual. Turn up the volume just enough to drown out the outside noise. Then dive into the soundscape and swim.

Pirates and Parasites
Drain Me Of My Sorrow
Maggots festering beneath
Blood drips, Earthquake!
Soothing voice, a lullaby in my head
Beckoning me to come forth
to rest in your cradle of solitude
a hangman’s noose
